BYU Counseling & Psychological Services

BYU Counseling & Psychological Services

The BYU Counseling & Psychological Services Student Outreach Council is seeking new members!

As the CAPS Student Outreach Council, we seek to:

EDUCATE students on a variety of mental health issues and on the resources available

EMPOWER students to recognize issues and refer those in need to proper resources

ENCOURAGE students to lead a healthy lifestyle with an emphasis on mental health

We are a student volunteer group with faculty advisers who are full-time psychologists at CAPS. Our group works with them on a variety of projects to promote mental health awareness and general outreach. It is a great way to make a difference on campus while learning about the current issues surrounding mental health and associating with practicing psychologists.

We meet Thursdays at 11am in room 1510 of CAPS in the basement of the Wilkinson Center. Time commitment is usually 2-3 hours a week, the majority of the time consisting of participating in meetings, presentations, projects, or events we plan.

If you’re interested in joining, please download and fill out this Application
