BYU Online High School is a full-time, diploma-granting, private high school serving students across the United States and around the world. Students in grades 9–12 enjoy the fun and flexibility that learning online offers while meeting their unique educational needs.

We strive to provide a balanced education that allows parents the transparency to see what their children are learning. All high school courses are designed according to national and state standards by teams of teachers and instructional designers who are experts in their fields.

With more than 250 courses in grades 7–12—including 15 Advanced Placement courses, 10 World Languages, and dozens of university-level dual enrollment courses—students at every learning level benefit from our standards-based curriculum.

Faith-Friendly Environment

We welcome students of all faiths and backgrounds who seek inspiring learning. Although our courses are secular in nature and do not espouse any particular religious viewpoint, students are free to express their faith as appropriate through class discussions and interactions.

Principal Welcome

Welcome! I am honored to serve as the Principal of BYU Online High School.

I love being a part of this innovative team at BYU and am inspired by our school vision, mission, and values that extend the spirit of a BYU education to all high school students by providing a spiritually strengthening, intellectually enlarging, and character-building education through a safe online learning environment that utilizes best practices and leads to lifelong learning and service.

I attended Texas A&M University and Sam Houston State University where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with specializations in English, Language Arts, and Reading and my Master of Education in Administration with Principal Certification. As a certified school teacher and administrator in both Texas and Utah, I bring experience from both online and brick-and-mortar public and private schools. Over the last seventeen years, I have served as an English Language Arts Teacher and Interventionist, English Language Specialist and Interventionist, School Board Secretary, Administrative Consultant, Head of School, Principal, and Assistant Superintendent. I have devoted my career to developing, leading, and teaching in schools in diverse educational settings.
