Friends For Sight Internship and Volunteers Cassandra Fullmer, program@friendsforsight.org

Help Friends for Sight perform vision screenings in Utah and/or Salt Lake County and promote vision safety and eye health! Our screenings truly bring awareness of vision problems to many people who would have no idea that their eyes were struggling! To volunteer, we ask that you attend a volunteer training on BYU Campus or in our office in Salt Lake and commit to at least 20 hours of service in one year.

To sign up, please contact Cassandra at program@friendsforsight.org.

Friends for Sight is looking for an intern for the upcoming semester! This is a great opportunity for public health students to gain experience with an established nonprofit and gain skills they are seeking to have as they graduate the program.

Friends for Sight provides vision screenings and education for all ages, with an emphasis on preventing blindness in children by screening early to correct potential issues. In the last year, Friends for Sight screened over 41,000 children and 5,000 adults for vision issues. Screenings take place throughout the state of Utah and interns would play a great part in expanding the reach of Friends for Sight. These screenings can truly change the course of someone's life by preventing long-term vision issues.

Working directly with the Executive Director and other staff, students can gain great work experience in the nonprofit sector while gaining skills that will put them above other applicants once looking for jobs. Applicants must have a reliable form of transportation and be willing to help with screenings in Utah and Salt Lake Counties.

Interested students can reach out to Cassandra Fullmer at program@friendsforsight.org. More information about Friends for Sight can be found at friendsforsight.org.
