Yes, we are accredited by Cognia and the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS). Many BYU OHS courses are also approved by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

BYU OHS accepts transfer credits earned or grade placement from institutions that are accredited by recognized national, regional, or state accrediting agencies. Students must complete a minimum of 25% of their credits through BYU Online High School to earn a BYU OHS diploma. These credits may be split between the junior and senior year. Students must be enrolled in the semester in which they intend to graduate.
No. Our online high school courses are secular in nature and open to everyone.
Both Semester and Flex students are considered full-time students of BYU Online High School. A local school would need to approve participation in activities at that school.
Students continuing to attend their local school can take courses, including AP or concurrent courses, through BYU Independent Study.
Courses (0.5 credit) are currently either $199 or $299 each, not counting books or materials. The total cost will depend on how many credits you need to complete to meet program requirements (24.0 to 28.0 credits for a BYU Online High School diploma).
We recommended that you complete your course requirements through BYU Online High School, but if we do not offer a certain course (band, drama, etc.), you may contact us to request approval to enroll at another school.
No. Flex Enrollment students enjoy great flexibility in scheduling courses, but they must complete at least three courses every six months.

BYU OHS wants to offer our exceptional educational experiences to qualified students regardless of their financial circumstances. Financial assistance is available only to full-time students regardless of a student’s country of residence and financial assistance applications are evaluated independently of admission applications.
Financial assistance is applied towards the cost of tuition. We do not provide financial aid or loans for computers or other school-related materials.

|A non-refundable enrollment fee is required annually.
